The Faculty of Entrepreneurship and Business Administration (FEBA) held a two days Training of Trainers Workshop (TOT) for its staff. The workshop was held between May 30-31 2017 at the MUBS main Campus, Nakawa. In her opening remarks, the Faculty Dean, Dr. Edith Basalirwa noted that, the TOT aimed at improving performance and service delivery in the Faculty. She thanked the Administrators for organizing the workshop and encouraged staff to always attend such workshops.
Dr. Basalirwa said FEBA puts much emphasis on Customer Care, acquisition, satisfaction and retention. She therefore called upon the staff to handle clients with care, and in the best way possible.
She further thanked the staff who attended the 12th graduation ceremony and encouraged those who did not to always participate in all the School’s activities. She used the same opportunity to congratulated Prof. Muhammed Ngoma upon his promotion and being an outstanding performer in the School. She also congratulated the staff who graduated at the Makerere University graduation ceremony in February and at MUBS in May 2017.
The Dean Faculty of Vocational and Distance Education, Mr. Freddie Semukono, briefed the lecturers on the importance of Management of Quality in the Examination Process. He emphasized that while setting examinations, lecturers must put into consideration the programmer’s objectives to guide them on how to set. He further advised them to stop pumping students with too much notes in the last weeks to examinations because the students are not able to read and understand these notes Meanwhile the Deputy Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi commended the Faculty staff for not having conflicts among themselves. He encouraged them to undertake personal improvement to improve their performance and service delivery. He also Congratulated the new PhDs in the Faculty; Dr. Edith Basalirwa and Dr Lawrence Kyazze.
