This is a research project funded by a USD 100,000 grant from the International Development Research council (IDRC) Canada. The grantees are Rebecca Namatovu, Fiona Mulira, Samuel Dawa, Celestine Katongole and Stella Nyongesa researchers from Makerere University Business School in partnership with Strathmore University Kenya.

GEM Uganda

Uganda participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) for the first time in 2003.The aim of GEM is to create an annual assessment of entrepreneurial activity across countries as well as to explore factors, which are responsible for differences in entrepreneurial rates.
