Mr. Asiimwe said accountability at work is important to a business’s success as a whole. Every employee, no matter what level of seniority is equally responsible for aiding in the success of the company. In order to achieve the School objectives, it is important that all people within the MUBS work together and share accountability.
He also said that the satisfactory accountability should have receipt/boarding passes, activity reports and evidence of occurrence of events. He advised members to account for themselves before they could come to the auditors. He said that the way forward at the moment is: mind set, accountability, and when advanced money, account for it within the required period and also to recover funds from individuals’ salary account.” We must change as the slogan of MUBS must
change goes. Accountability is the responsibility for all of us”.
In his closing remarks, the Deputy Principal, Assoc. Prof. Moses Muhwezi noted that improving
performance had been the topical issue. Last year was MUBS must change but then this year
it should be MUBS is changing. All the procedures and systems must change. It is a disease in an academic institution to see that things are not going on well. He thanked Mr. Asiimwe for the good work he is doing.
