Drake University students in the USA are at MUBS for a period of three weeks for their sustainable development in Sub-Saharan program. Drake students team up with MUBS students to share their joint educational experiences in development enabled through joint coursework. The Drake students learn about rural life , health care, business, gender and related issues in Uganda.
Every student on the team is expected to come up with a one-day research or service project which ideally related to their area of interest. Each day has a designed activity with interactive lessons that address all areas of sustainable development. In a one to one with Michaela Spielberger, a digital media production and anthropology/sociology double major at Drake, this trip is perfect for her because she was her dream was travel to Africa, “It’s always been the dream place to travel to for me, ” she said.
