MUBS students warned against drug abuse

The Division Police Commander Jinja Road Moses Elau cautioned MUBS students against smoking weed and other related drugs in their hostels. He said this in relation to the several incidents where students from Bahesi hostels were arrested while smoking weed.

Elau represented the Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura as the guest speaker during the MUBS Security week which kicked off on March 2, 2017, at the MUBS Nakawa campus.

Students were also warned against gambling away their future. He advised the students to move with their Identification cards while on campus and outside MUBS, avoid moving in the wee hours of the night to and from hangout places, stop Sports Betting as it is a gate way to theft and other related vices.

A Whatsapp group named MUBS SECURITY was created to allow students freely interact with police officers directly in case of any security concern or Alert.

Elau further commended MUBS students for being disciplined and keeping MUBS a strike free Institution. He also commended the School administration for constructing a perimeter around the

library, saying this will improve on the security around Campus
