Student Associations helping students to get internship placement

A big thank you to Accounting Students Association of Makerere University (ASAMU) and to Matthew Ntaganyira and Raymond Ahereza, ASAMU Presidents 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 respectively. I joined ASAMU in 2015 and it has come with good things. There is one which stands out, attending the ASAMU Summit 2016, which gave me an opportunity to network with people from different walks of life. I was able to get knowledge of available internship opportunities in a number of Audit firms. The one that got my attention in particular was the one at KPMG-Certified Public Accountants. I then got in touch with Matthew Ntaganyira who took time to break down the good things that come with such an opportunity. The thing that stood out above all other benefits was the experience it would come with. I went through the application process and I am currently an intern at KPMG – Certified Public Accounts in the Audit Department. I stand to thank ASAMU as an Association that has reached out to a number of individuals like me.
