Dean addresses concerns over exam results delay

The Dean Faculty of Vocational and Distance Education (FVDE), Mr. Freddie Semukono, took time off to explain the delay to release results for the first semester academic year 2016/2017.

Mr. Semukono explained to the students’ representatives that the delay was due to the December Christmas break. “The School always breaks off for Christmas and the students always return to School in late January when marking is not finalized. On top of that, there is checking of the marked papers. But with the second semester, we always have enough time for the results to come in time”, he said. The dean also warned students against accumulating retakes. He said the School would not allow any student to accumulate more than five (5) retakes. According to the School Policy, if any student accumulates more than five retakes, they are advised to stay put and any student who fails a course three times will be discontinued. He urged them to attend classes regularly.
