Uganda Baati Limited, a roofing company has given 50 dust bins to Makerere University Business School (MUBS) to support sanitation improvement in the School. The donation was as a result of Uganda Baati’s commitment to the Health, Environment and Education in the communities where they operate. The donation was made on August 30, 2017. Speaking about the initiative, George Arodi, the Chief Executive Officer Uganda Baati Limited said, “this donation further affirms Uganda Baati’s commitment to support communities in which we operate. We shall continue supporting this community in all the ways we are can”.
The offer to MUBS comes after Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director; Jennifer Musisi Semakula raised concerns on the growing garbage problem in Kampala and sought for intervention. According to MUBS Deputy Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi, the 50 dustbins that were donated will go towards keeping the campus clean. “Garbage has been a serious challenge, we thank Uganda Baati for this and we pledge to continue supporting them as they have supported us. Our other task is now to ensure we sensitize the students to Deputy Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi (2nd use them effectively” Muhwezi said.
